Minecraft Festival Postponed

We will be sharing the important details (such the date, location, and projected number of Endermen present) closer to the big event.

Although Minecraft Festival may seem like a distant memory, we are working hard to make it the memorable, community-focused blockstravaganza that you deserve. We are eager to let you see it all and we can't wait for you to come. But until then, keep your eyes open, stay safe and stay positive.

You were excited. We were excited. The excitement was palpable when we learned that Minecraft Festival tickets would be released Friday, officially kicking off the countdown to our September blockstravaganza in-person. After much thought and consideration, we decided to postpone this year's event.

Many organizers have had to cancel or postpone events and gatherings around the globe due to the COVID-19 epidemic. This was done to protect their guests' health and safety. However, the situation surrounding Minecraft Festival is slightly different. We are still months away from September and cannot predict how long it will take to end the outbreak. This is a result of the extensive preparations that are required to organize an event like this.

Our producers, partners, and exhibitors are located all over the globe, so we are currently unable to meet and collaborate the way that we need. We are unable to know when we can resume planning so we have decided not to go ahead. We can ensure that next year's event is the spectacular one our community expects.

This is true, but it is still very disheartening. We do have some good news! Minecraft Live will take place as planned. It will be the place to find all the latest Minecraft news and announcements. The live stream will be delivered right to your screen, no matter where you are. Thanks, Internet! Keep checking back for more announcements, including a date and a time.
